Peanut Butter Crunch Bars

with a pinch of salt

The love for peanut butter amongst The Food Medic team is pretty strong so we have for you just another delicious way to enjoy PB – crunch bars! Just 5 ingredients to make a delicious snack or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 100g puffed rice

  • 55ml maple syrup

  • 195g smooth peanut butter

  • Generous pinch of salt

  • 180g melted dark chocolate

Method

  1. In a bowl combine the puffed rice, maple syrup, 180g of peanut butter, and a pinch of salt giving it all a good mix so that the puffed rice is covered evenly in the melted chocolate.

  2. Empty into a lined baking tin and flatten down into the corners.

  3. Combine the remaining 15g peanut butter with the melted dark chocolate and drizzle it over the puffed rice.

  4. Smooth the chocolate evenly over the top and then place the tin into the fridge for about 45 minutes to set. Slice into approx. 12 squares and serve or keep stored in the fridge. Enjoy!
